Introducing you to Rochelle, founder, curator, and content creator.
I am Rochelle, creator, of RO-ism.
My lived experiences, art practice, and conversations with friends come together here at, RO-ism.
“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I'd be here today. Working to create a platform of kindness and creativity. A dream life full of creative power and freedom.”
Through photography, art & conversations - I hope to inspire you and bring to light honest experiences of how my friends and I are 'figuring it out'.

I was born in the Netherlands, and at age 6 my family relocated to Singapore. For the next 12 years, I lived in Asia, including 2 years in the Philippines. My parents' best decision was to let my brother and I grow up in Asia.

“Growing up in Asia was by far, the most influential part of my life. It is the foundation of everything I do, and what I stand for. I am forever grateful for my parents giving us the opportunity to not only be Western but get connected with the Eastern side.”

Coming to America
Today I live in New York, with my husband and rescue pittie, Fred.
In 2021, I transitioned to working from home, and shortly thereafter, I became liberated from the corporate drag we call life, and pursued life coaching.
By 2022, I was certified, actively completing my ICF accreditation, entrepreneur, and proud owner of RO-ism.

In my art practice, I will be honing in on topics like:
My life as a bi-racial, third-cultured, immigrant to America, has brought a lot of insight into life with lots of shifts and transitions. How do you get used to moving? How do you get peace after the change? How do I belong? All these questions are answered in a multitude of ways here at RO-ism; through stories, conversations, imagery, and questions.
I hope you will be a part of my journey to unravel my life's unanswered questions and experience the process of embracing the true self through connections with other powerful human beings out there.
